Study in support of Impact assessment work for Ocean Energy

The current study supports the Commission’s impact assessment in a number of different areas. It focuses on the introduction of wave and tidal energy which are seen as the most mature technologies within ocean energy, although energy production driven by differences in temperature (OTEC) or salinity gradients (osmotic energy) can also become relevant on a longer timeframe.
