Catch simulations and sustainability of the southern bluefin tuna (SBT) fishery.

This project used existing assessment models to evaluate:

1.      the effects on SBT stock status of various catch scenarios; and

2.      the effects of alternative SBT harvesting strategies on the future sustainability of the fishery

This produced an assimilation of the information on stock assessment and status of SBT stock, a critical assessment of the methods and evaluations conducted by CCSBT and an examination of the implications of the stock assessment on future potential catches.
