The objective of this project was to analyse and compare the different Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) regimes in the different EU Member States with plans and/or (policy) targets for offshore renewable power generation deployment. In particular, EU Member States from the Baltic Sea (Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Denmark-East), the North Sea (Denmark-West, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and United Kingdom-East), the Atlantic coast (United Kingdom- West, Ireland, France, North Spain and Portugal) and the Mediterranean Sea (Southern Spain, Southern France, Italy and Greece). The project aimed to highlight best practices and produced recommendations on how to improve the policy and regulatory conditions of maritime spatial planning in Member States less developed in this process. MRAG identified and highlighted the best national practices in terms of MSP for these Member States.
