The in-country capacity need for skills and capacity to develop, maintain, extend and utilise the artisanal fisheries database in Liberia was addressed by the training of one person from the BNF by MRAG Ltd. staff in London.  The BNF staff member was trained in: database design; use of MS Access to develop, maintain and adapt an artisanal fisheries database; fisheries information systems; data analysis to support stock assessments, modelling and fisheries management.
