The Fisheries Inspector/Observer Course was developed by EEZ Consult and MRAG to provide an introduction to Fisheries Monitoring, Control and Surveillance (MCS) and Inspection Procedures. The course delivered in Ghana was as a subcontract within the agreement between the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Finger Ltd and took place at the Fisheries Research Department offices in Tema between 4th and 8th October 2004.  Prior to delivering the course the content was tailored, as far as available information would allow, to reflect the current status of MCS in Ghana and further modifications were made during the week to the latter modules based on the experience and knowledge of the attendees.
