NEOM REGIONAL MARINE STRATEGY

This project has been undertaken to support the development of a world class Regional Marine Strategy as part of a comprehensive focus on establishing its nearshore waters around each of NEOMs coasts and islands. In this respect, NEOM aims to manage, conserve, and restore the regions unique marine resources and ecosystems for future generations. NEOMs initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy focused on developing and strengthening essential components of effective regional marine strategies including: a resilient marine management area network. 

Within this work MRAG, in support of Royal Haskoning, MRAG has provided experience of marine conservation and aquaculture to ensure the design and implementation of a Regional Marine Strategy is in line with NEOM’s vision. This work has been developed to enhance NEOM’s capacity to carry out its Regional Marine Strategy, and to support the building of a unified Regional Marine Strategy.
