The overall aim of this project is to conduct in-depth public and stakeholder engagement on a set of proposed options for the potential development of salmon farming in Falkland Islands waters. The project will gather public and stakeholder perspectives on the scientific, technical, and socio-economic implications of the proposed options through a comprehensive consultation process. A nationwide online survey, in-person focus group discussions and public workshops will be the principal methods for stakeholder engagement. Based on the information collected and a detailed analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data, the project will develop balanced advice and clear recommendations for FIG to consider in future decision-making.
