Hope Kerrigan

Hope joins MRAG as a consultant with a background in applied fisheries management and marine research. She graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Fisheries and Marine Science from the University of Otago, and a Master of Marine Conservation from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Before joining MRAG, Hope was appointed as a Fishery Officer at Fisheries New Zealand within the Ministry for Primary Industries. In this role, she was responsible for maintaining compliance with fisheries legislation across the commercial, recreational, and customary fishing sectors to ensure the sustainable utilisation of New Zealand’s fishery resources. Within the fisheries observer team, Hope is responsible for the coordination, logistics, and recruitment for ongoing observer projects at MRAG.
